MARBLE

Marble Materials

Marble is a beautiful natural stone that continues to be very popular for kitchen and bathroom countertops. I am sure you will appreciate its long history of use, the most famous probably being ancient Italy and Greece.

Marble is a metamorphic rock primarily made of calcium carbonate. It is formed when limestone is exposed to high temperatures and pressures in the Earth’s crust. This pressure forces changes as the calcite re-crystallizes to form various new of colours and patterns we know as marble.

Not only is marble beautiful, it can be found in many varieties of colours and grains. This makes it a unique application for beautifying your home. It is also one of the longest lasting countertop materials available, as long as it is cared for properly. As a more porous material, it is more susceptible to chipping and staining. Sealing your marble often and using soap and water to clean it – rather than harsh chemicals – will help to protect it and lengthen its life.

Below, you will find a few samples of the marble we have access to. If you find a marble sample elsewhere that you like, give Bullseye the Granite Guy a call. We may be able to source if for you.
